Policy

Refunds

You have seven days to back out. The clock starts at payment, not at sign-up, and we do not ask why.

In force since 25 August 2026

The policy in four lines

The policy in four lines

  • Seven calendar days from payment, with a full refund of what you paid.
  • You request it from your account. We do not ask why and we do not try to talk you out of it.
  • The money goes back to whatever you paid with, processed by Stripe.
  • After the seven days you cancel instead, and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

01

The clock starts at payment

Seven calendar days from the moment you pay. Paid on the 3rd at 2pm, you have until the 10th at 2pm.

Creating an account is free and starts no clock. The seven days begin at the first charge for a plan — monthly, annual or lifetime. If you tried Symfo for weeks before subscribing, the window is still untouched.

Moving up to a more expensive plan opens a new window over the difference we charged. Moving down charges nothing, so there is nothing to refund.

Automatic renewal does not open a new window: it continues the same plan, and you can cancel any time before it happens. If a renewal went through and you have not opened Symfo since, write to us — we settle that one outside the rule.

02

How to ask

In your account, under Subscription, a “Request a refund” button is there while the window is open. It opens a confirmation that states the exact amount coming back, warns that the refund cannot be undone, and asks you to type the word REFUND. There is no justification form, no mandatory reason field and no step designed to keep you.

If you would rather write, or the button is not there, email [email protected] from your account address. On that route we confirm within one business day and issue the refund the same day. That is all we need: we can find the payment ourselves.

Once confirmed, the refund goes to Stripe immediately and the subscription ends in the same request — no queue, no review. The next screen shows how much came back, and Stripe emails you the receipt.

03

How much comes back, and when

The full amount you paid, in the currency you paid it. We deduct no processing fee and charge nothing for the days you used. If you used a coupon, you get back what actually left your account — the discounted amount.

Stripe returns the money to the card or payment method used for the purchase. There is no refund to a different card, to someone else’s account, or as credit to spend later.

We issue it the same day. Seeing it on your statement takes five to ten business days, and that part belongs to your bank: once Stripe has processed the refund, we cannot make it arrive faster.

04

What happens to your access

A refund ends access immediately. Cancelling does not: it keeps access until the end of the period you already paid for.

These are two different things and it is worth knowing which one you want. A refund undoes the purchase, so the subscription ends as soon as the refund is filed. Cancelling only switches off the next charge.

Your projects are untouched. Code, files and AI keys live on your machine and were never with us — there is nothing of ours to delete there. Your account stays, and you can subscribe again whenever you want.

One honest caveat: the first-month promotion applies once per customer. If you already used it, subscribing again after a refund costs full price.

05

Cancelling is a different thing

You cancel from the same Subscription page, and it is what that page offers once the seven days are gone. Cancelling switches off renewal: no new charge happens, and access runs to the end date of the period you paid for.

Changed your mind before that date? Reactivate in the payment portal, the same place where you change your card and read your invoices, and renewal comes back with no extra charge and nothing lost.

The lifetime plan is a single payment with no renewal to switch off. There, a refund within the seven days is the only way back.

06

When we do not refund

Two situations, and neither is about how much you used the product:

  • A request after the seven days, outside the unused-renewal case described above.
  • A charge you have already disputed with your bank. The money is then contested between your bank and Stripe, and the same payment is not returned twice. Talk to us before opening a dispute: it is faster and you get the full amount.

07

Your statutory rights still apply

This page describes what we do. It does not replace the law where you live, and consumer law in many countries grants a withdrawal right of its own — often longer than seven days.

If the law where you live gives you more than this page does, the law wins. Nothing here removes a right you already have.

A wrong charge, a duplicate charge or a charge on a subscription you had already cancelled is not covered by this policy: that is our mistake, and we refund it in full with no time limit.

08

Talk to us

Email [email protected] from your account address. Telling us which plan and when helps, but it is not required.

Writing before you subscribe is fine too. Asking whether Symfo solves your case is cheaper for both of us than finding out afterwards.

You imagine. The team delivers. One conductor, the right models and every workstream in sight.
